There’s no shame in leaving a situation that doesn’t work for you. You have made the right choice. Put it like this, I went to high school with a girl who was determined to live that Carrie Bradshaw life and went to NYC. Her parents warned her. I warned her. But she was stubborn. She didn’t want to admit that she was making a mistake. She ended up in a small apartment with multiple other people just to be able to afford rent. She couldn’t do any leisure activities. She wasn’t enjoying the city. She was deeply depressed. She saw her friends buying homes while she was trapped in that city. She finally decided to leave. She still feels like a failure because she couldn’t last in the city. That city is not made for middle class and below. You have to be FABULOUSLY wealthy, like you need to be able to light stacks on FIRE.

Laser eye surgery is NEVER worth it. I had lasik and ended up with glare, starburst, ghosting and pain. Oh, did I mention dry eye? This was easily the worst mistake of my life. Keep your glasses!

i really love using notion because i can put silly little cute things around my page so it looks ''beautiful'', but i think somedays it overwhelms me a lot with so many informations. i think it's a great app if you want to put anything related to your creativity hobbies (i love having silly lovely pages f/ my writing and my arts studies!!). i have been trying to make a page that i just braindump everything i need to do in the week and then i organize in a daily to-do list....i have been trying it for 2 weeks and it has been working for me!! ((thought i'm still having problems w/ remembering appointments that are schedule for longer than one week<//3

another browser i recommend is vivaldi! you can choose to have the tabs on the top or the side or the bottom even lol and they have different 'spaces' too! it's super customisable and also has a built in adblocker

People seem to have so much confidence in the idea they will be successful at RUclips. my advice to young people is to try and get in to a County/State/Federal job, that is a job with a pension system and strong union. I know its not sexy, and they dont throw tons of money at you or perks but I think its going to get very bad for tech people in relation to Ai. I totally think Ai is going to gobble up all the tech jobs, and Ai doesnt need lunch or days off and it doesnt sleep. milestones come very fast working for say the County. 5,10,15 and one day you wake up and you have 25-35 years and you retire with a forever pension.

I‘m not „neurospicy“, I‘m straight up neurodisastrous (AuDHD and I won‘t even list the dozens of other comorbidities that come with autism). Thank you for this video, I will check those apps out. Especially the first one might be useful for me becauss I am absolutely awful at task switching. I always ignore my timers. I‘ve implemented most of my Notion needs in Obsidian, I really enjoy it as I‘m keen of technical things and it‘s very customizable with plugins, scripts and css and most importantly LOCAL ON YOUR DEVICE. And it’s free. You can pay for Obsidian sync which allows you to synchronise it across devices but there are so many other ways like uploading your vault on github. I mostly use Notion for reminders as it can send you notifications on your phone which is not possible with Obsidian. I’ve been using Notion since 2020 but it’s yet another one of those apps that goes downhill (especially the stupid AI implementation) once it became popular. I will still give Xtiles a try.

In my personal experience, the best productivity tool in the world is getting rid of your smartphone and using a dumbphone. Just ditching the phone addiction altogether makes me feel like I'm free and 50% more productive immediately edit: I loved Xtiles, it's the first time seeing something that will not be as time consuming and!! that I can use in my computer!! thank you!! You could also consider doing a video about web browser extensions that keep distractions to the minimum such as "Unhook - remove RUclips recommended & shorts" and "IGPlus, remove Instagram Reels, Explore page"

I definitely will give x tiles a try. I was interested in trying notion, but after seeing how simple x tiles was, I don't think I'll even bother with notion. Great video!

i haven’t created new notion pages in a long time, but i do thing you can “reference” a calendar and put it in the same page as another calendar, i think they call it backlinking

honestly i downloaded notion as a productivity app and then i got distracted & just used it for planning my daydream worlds and creative stuff im working on (which works INSANELY WELL i have everything organized so well im so happy with it, i definitely reccomend it for this kinda use)
